Its not that theyre terrible theyre just missing 1-2 defensive defencemen that could skate and 2 top 6 forwards that can drive play and create offense for others. So, basically 2 Mark Stones and 2 Brett Pesce/Brandon Carlo.

I still think you all have a better and more promising roster than Detroit.

In the long run the Sens are better positioned but not as of now. All Detroit has to do is draft Lafreniere, Byfield or Raymond and add that to a core of Larkin, Mantha, Athanasiou, Bertuzzi, etc. Detroit kinda reminds me of Ottawa when they had a bunch of good players but that didn't really translate to wins as much. That's what happens when u dont go full rebuild or all in, you turn into the Minnesota Wild and end up as a bubble for life with older players like Spurgeon, Suter, Parise signed for a long time. That's basically what Ottawa would be had they re-signed Karlsson, Stone, Hoffman, Dzingel and Duchene

*Points to the crease*

Are you sure that's all they're missing?

We literally have Daccord, Sogard, Hogberg, Gustavsson and Mandolese as goalie prospects. 2 of which were 2nd round picks which is high for goalies, 1 has been posting a .930 save percentage in the AHL and ready to be a backup in the NHL and Andy is blocking his way. And the other is fresh of leading a low level college team to a competitive level

Goalies are voodoo and I only really like the look of Sogard but that can be recency-bias. Not all that confident in everyone else

We had Andy, Bishop, Lehner and kept Andy lol. I cant complain about Lehner because we got rid of a cap dump and got the 21st overall in a very good draft for him. Bishop we definitely should've kept and traded the older Andy
