I love Frost, don't get me wrong, but I would like to get him to a point where he is dominating the AHL. It's not like a necessity we get him up to the NHL, and it would behoove us to limit the value of his contract the next year or two. I could see his size becoming an issue but the more he gets used to AHL play, it will allow him to get bigger, and learn more than being thrown right in the fire. Conversely, I believe Farabee is ready now so next year I can see him being on the opening night roster.

This team is legit though, and with another year under Carter's belt, this team should be a contender for years to come.

If they do feel Frost is ready now, JVR could be an interesting trade candidate, even Patrick, but I am not giving up on him yet.

I do like Raffl but this was purely a cap move to keep us under

What is the likelihood that the cap is at $84M next year? I am doubtful.

New TV deal coming soon, revenues should be the highest theyve ever been this year. And the minimal raise in the cap this year leads me to believe it'll be where it should have been over a two year span.
