I don't think DET would do it (how is Skjei any different than what's in the pipeline already. AA is a pretty unique talent), but I don't think NYR should do it either. AA isn't really a C, he needs to be sheltered with a top defensive C while playing C (which is why Glendening is playing with him, to cover the D assignments), and Skjei really solidifies that top 4 in NY. NYR needs a 2nd line C, but there would be better options than AA for NYR.

Don't get me wrong, AA is very talented, but I don't think it works for NYR.

Qual input gents. We have a clear hole at 2C so trying to think of how to address it. Not sure anyone we have anyone right now will fill the role properly ATM

Yzerman wants AA playing wing to lessen his defensive responsibility and free him up more goals. That's part of the reason he signed Filppula because he if very good defensively.

So I agree with TMarch if your looking for 2C there are better options.
