Nahh would rather keep seabrook than take on an even bigger contract, longer contract, and until the player is older. Even if Vlasic is better rn. Maatta has been pretty good so I wouldnt trade him yet, wait and see how CDH performs before we trade him plus we dont need any more bottom 6 players we have too many.

Yeah, I know it's only been 1 game, but I feel like I'm very shortly going to be eating my words on Maatta. He was actually their best Dman last game (yeah yeah 1 game so far), but he just plays hockey. Nothing flashy AT ALL. Yes, he's very slow, but his positioning is still solid. He's been physical in the sense that he hasn't been moved off the puck and he's even protected the puck well. I'd give him more time for 2 reasons...the Hawks look like they need him...AND...his stock might get elevated.

I'd rather just keep Seabrook. He's not what he used to be, but 7 X 7 is rough for Vlasic too. Let's be honest here...did you make this trade just because we drafted Alex?

Nah didn't even know you guys drafted Alex but I thought why not. And I think one or maybe 2 of Gustafsson, De Haan and Maata are gone next year
