How can you assume that LA will actually win the draft lottery?
I know they're probably coming last or something, but there's OTT and DET

Doughty, Kopitar, and Brown aren't going anywhere. Imagine keeping that core, getting Laf, Krug or Barrie, not signing Holtby(Petersen will be a starter), and getting Turcotte and Vilardi to their full potential. That's even better.

Your wings deal is not. Lose. Why would a rebuilding team trade 2 players who have a future with the club and two probably high picks to take on Doughty. Makes zero sense from Wings perspective.

Almost none of those deals makes sense

Detroit laughs in your face. Why is a team that hasn't made the playoffs in years trading a pair of good young players and 2 firsts for a 30 year old? It just doesn't make sense

Arizona says no. How much better is Kopitar than an 8 or so year younger Schmaltz signed for half the cap? I assure you the difference is less than Dvorak, let alone Dvorak and a 1st and a 3rd

So New Jersey has one of the best American goalies from 5 years ago who sucks now and their solution is to pay a first and a good young c to get another one? I believe quick had the worst save percentage for a starter league wide last year. You're likely to being paying someone to get rid of him

Carter is past his prime and breaking down. You'll have to pay someone to take his contract.

Brown is overpaid and well past his prime. You'll have to pay someone to take his contract.

Kovi is not going to get you someone as good as Bjorkstrand. If you retain half of kovi's contract maybe he does.

Agree with all. The only trade here that goes through is Iafallo to ANA. But why trade him? He seems like part of the solution, not the problem
