The reasons why you want Glendening is the same reason Wings pass.

Smith is twice the cap hit and 4th for the extra cap is not a good trade. Plus Kampf has little value.

Lastly Glendening is the only RH shot on Wings forward unit.

I think getting a 50-60 point Dman at 5million is actually a home town discount in today’s market. I know all players say that they want to stay with their current team past their contracts, but it makes a lot of sense with Gus.

Keeping Gus probably means that two of Boqvist , Mitchell , or Murphy are gone next season (Seabrook god damn it), but I think if their is genuine interest to stay a deal will get done.

The max I would do with Gus is 3-4 years at $4 million per.
