So what?

It's a fix for this season... you're giving up practically nothing. Then you use the cap space to go after Hamonic or someone that would cost you more trade capital this year.

Don't think Jersey accepts. No reason to. They're trying to compete and taking away Vatman creates a hole on their back end. Apparently they're also looking to upgrade.

They're looking for a LHD... Right now they have Vatanen playing on his off-side... which is not ideal for a guy who hasn't done before. I think they'd do that... although, I wouldn't be opposed to a RHD-LHD swap with Beaulieu and a lower pick going the other way if that's what they'd prefer. Otherwise, yes... I think they'd do this deal... or something like it.
