Buddy there is no chance Pageau is worth a second or higher. You guys just got Namestnikov for a fourth round pick, a decent prospect AND New York retained salary. Based on that, Khaira and a 3rd is spot on value, and I would argue Ottawa should retain salary even then.

I agree Pageau is a good leader but he’s also a pending UFA...if Ottawa is not completely sure he’ll resign, there won’t be much time for the “glue” to do much good for the roster.

Really depends on which Pageau they're getting. 16-17 Pageau or 18-19 Pageau. because the Pageau of old has been missing for a while. Injuries definitely don't help.

Dont forget a Boyle got a 2nd rounder last year. A second rounder (likely late) for a proven play off performer and defensive guy is about right.

You can just see the trend happening. But yeah there will always be outliers. Anyways, im not saying he can't be worth a 2nd, he just has to show he is the Pageau of old. If that's the case you might even get slightly more than a 2nd rounder.
