Suffice to say, I think people are beyond that. I do agree not everyone is in the lineup yet, but none of the ones still to play will fix anything whole sale. We were told all summer that a full training camp will be essential and get the team on the right page and foot. All collitons system is doing is emphasizing how slow our team is and how bad the defense and pk still are.

As a very pissed off hawks fan, i can’t help but still think we fixed issues in the wrong areas. Not to mention we didn’t fix issues with the right pieces. Toughness isn’t as important as speed and youth. Have you ever seen this hawks team this slow??

Okay, not gonna lie, its guys like you who do keep me hopeful. I've been a fan for 25 years, since I was 4 years old, and I've seen all the good and bad they've been through. However, if I could at least bring up a question. What's the plan this year? What's the plan for 5 years from now? What is this team suppose to look now and then? How about playing style? I only ask because nothing is making sense anymore. This summer ruined any process this team was taking because Stan was desperate to save his job and (knee-jerk) made us tougher and slower because of a blues Stanley cup. I really thought the last few drafts were helping us get younger (obviously) and faster. Then this poor excuse for a draft saw us go HUGE and SLOW and potentially waste a number 3 pick.

I love that we have fans who are hopeful and think everything is fine. I guess I've just seen this team make too many mistakes in the past and they are showing they haven't learned from the past two years. Please, please keep you optimism, we need it. I don't see how this is possibly a playoff team and my only hope is we get a chance at Lafreniere next year and Stan is finally fired.

I agree with your statements, but I don't agree that Kirby Dach is a waste of a 3rd overall pick, Kirby has alot of talent and we were lucky enough to move up 9 picks and if we were to pick at 12, we were not get a talent like KIrby. Dach has a lot of skill and he a great skater for his size and he looks like to be the next Mark Scheifele or Ryan Getzlaf. But yes there were better and faster choices but Dach seems to be a great choice and he will help us out in the future.
