If the Devils arent in a playoff spot come trade deadline

Created by: CapFriendlysFinest

Description
I would say the Devils should sell off all their remaining one year guys.

If the Devils dont make the playoffs I cant see hall staying even for something at 8x12.

Vatanen gets hosed down by RHD so he is expandable.

Simmonds probably doesnt have a great year so hes sold to a team that need s a heavy body for playoffs.

If I was the Devils too, I would look at drafting Yaroslav Askarov in the top 5. He is the Goalie the team needs for the future.

With also getting guys like Poolparty and Sprong, I might even try and move another younger piece for some instant help on the blue line

Ana has no need for hall, unless an extension but even then I’d think they’d prefer to get a center than pay hall 10x8

Don't see the Oilers making a trade like that, if their season goes bad that 2nd round pick could be an early one and even though Pulujarvi doesn't have high value they definitely don't want to trade him for a UFA even if they're sniffing around a playoff spot.

Anaheim won't be the team that'll trade for Hall. They need some retool/rebuild so giving up this years 1st and Steel for a rental would be a bad trade. Hall probably moves to a team with a closing window, with Devils retaining 50% (teams like the Sharks).

I think the Flames would make a massive offer to Hall if he's made available. They were close to landing Mark Stone last year and I believe they still want another high end top 6 winger

they can't draft past the first round so why does it matter.

I was debating between the Ducks and Flames, I knew the ducks would be great this year as long as they avoid injuries so thats ultimately why I picked them for this thread.

one month of hall to a team out of the playoffs. No I dont think so. Now as a deadline rental youll get a 1st probably maybe more but from who its a bit too early to tell. but teams like Nashville or the islanders or Colorado have money enough to add him.

1000% this!

Pending UFA's in the offseason or this time of year have very little value, come closer to the trade deadline when teams know where they're at then their value increases.
