No way, hall isn't going to get a younger player with 80+ point potential, and for sure not.from a team thats doing.the trade.to push for.the playoffs, you will get a first and a couple prospects + depth players but I doubt you will get already developed and ready players. Unless you trade.with like.toronto, or a team that Hall will sign an.extension with

its a tricky trade bc in BUF’s case you dont wanna give up too much given he is a pending UFA, but at the same time he is a former MVP and a top 20 player in the NHL

Likely for something like this to go through, Hall would need to agree to an extension with Buffalo for a potential deal to make any sense for both sides

if this were the case, here’s my proposal:

Hall (agrees to 12 mil x 7 year contract)

Hall’s potential cap hit is just too much for the sabres to take on really of they wanna sign reinhart montour and eventually dahlin to long term deals

Rather get him for free agency for free . This team is not in the rental business yet. As good as the start is they are not cup contenders this year.
