Doesn't really make sense for Buffalo. They already have Mittelstadt and Cozens as strong potential 2C prospects and Patrick was already struggling with the role. What Sabres need is a solid top 6 RW tha can set up Skinner and play PP2.

seems a bit injury prone but that what makes the value a bit closer, pat is a 2nd overall pick. hopefully he gets over all these injurys never like to see a kid have them.

he is a 2nd overall pick, he will be fine as long as he is healthy(true for every player). i dont think buffalo plans to win cup this year, but building up options and depth is more important to future.

No, his posseaion and exGF% stats are awful.

his ff% was 48.1 last year but he started 53.4% of shifts in d zone so thats slightly better then you should expect. i use https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/BUF/2019.html for that data. its my goto site for looking up advanced stats.

pats was ff% 46.5 and Dzs%52.7 so was technically worse then risto for possession stats

IMO would play better on a good team....maybe even the new look Sabres. Good Dmen often look poor and have bad stats on poor team as they are over worked and play in all situations. Risto will be good if he can share some the responsibility with better teammates. At least right now, the first place Sabres should keep him and all their Dmen..

PS. I don't think the Sabres will playing in mid April, but looking forward to the Bills playing in January.
