why are leaf fans obsessed with trading Kapanen for X Dman from the Canes. So he made a mistake and you want to ship him out to a team like Carolina who legit is playing like a juggernaut to start the season

In what world would they even consider touching their roster.

Leafs dropped the ball on a Pesce trade last year. I don't see the Canes letting him go now - at least, I would never do that in their position. The Canes have one of the most exciting teams in the league right now.

We should have a more realistic target, maybe Trevor Van Riemsdyk, who the Canes don't need anymore. He could fill a role on our 3rd pairing, or maybe as UFA next year.

As for Anderson, we have too many wingers to afford losing another 1st round pick.

Pesce has been untouchable since the day he signed his contract extension. The Leafs wouldn't have been able to pry him away from Carolina without hugely overpaying.
