Alzner? No thanks. Can get a better package without taking on that albatross of contract.

Sell mode does not need to happen yet- still only 6 games in, but if it does not turn around in the next 10-15 games, then it's time to sell assets.

Hughes needs to be sent to the minors- is he a winger or a center? A new system may not hurt either. Hynes' message is getting old and we're going on 3 years running where the Devils are being out-possessed night in and night out.

I don't think Hughes has the size to be an NHL center. He's outmatched and overpowered on faceoffs and he's a major liability on defense. They won't send him down, but they should absolutely try him on the wing.

if you haven't noticed CBJ is in rebuild mode too so that trade will not happen

Point is listed as 5' 10" 166 lbs , Hughes is 5' 10" 170 lbs, I don't think size disqualifies him permanently as a center, but I agree that the Devils should put him on the wing till he adjusts to the NHL. Jack is 18, don't know why the Devils are throwing so much on his plate right off the start.
