Thx Mike for listening what some of us are calling out since COL trade............

Keep it up with the "new you" when Hyman back and create the following :

1st Line...... Hyman - Tavares - Marner
2nd Line...... Moore - Matthews - Nylander
3rd Line..... Johnsson - Kerfoot - Kapanen
4th Line.......Mikheyev - Gauthier - Spezza

Mikheyev has been way to good to be relegated to the fourth line.

Matthews line has looked good. Why are you messing with it?

As Mikheyev so Moore.....the difference is you wont need to pay Moore next year and he can do the job for 775k.

With Mikheyev to 4th Line you are creating another strong Line, again both Mikheyev as Moore for that spot, just Mikheyev wont leetch on Matthews and demanding more money, while Moore should leetch on Matthews and being 40 Pointer for 775K. Lets see how good Mikheyev is when hes not sheltered....Brown got 28 Points there last year....still didnt see anything that would put Mikheyev in front of Moore....

Matthews Line is working true...but now if you put "mediocre" Grinder to that Line ( which would be Moore in that case ) you create a killing 3rd Line with Johnsson - Kerfoot - Kapanen which would have upper hand over 90% of 3rd Lines in the League.

Oh, the problem the Leafs have....too many good wingers. Right now I'd have Timashov in the line up and not Spezza. Mikheyev or Moore can go to right wing.
Everyone points to the return of Hyman. Even when he returns, there might be other injuries...and more juggling.
IMO, the LWers of Hyman, Johnson, Moore and even Mikheyev are pretty interchangeable on any line. Yep, Kapanen seems to better much better on the right wing.
As suggested by Laudan, the Leafs third line can be very good compared to others.

I know it's your thing but I'm not holding the team back to prevent a player from doing well so his contract asks are lower.

I want my players to succeed. If they succeed so much that they're expensive we can trade them for value

Still dont see hows that putting Mikheyev being better then Moore.......its a tactical thing and longterm thinking....50M are tight in 7 Forwards.....no place for screwing around

My guess is Tymashov will go same way as Sandin.....Petan and him filling for 16 Games till Hyman back, then both send down for Cap reasons, if he will make impression would help him pump the trading price. Im coming to that from preseason exhibitions where Agostino show more, but was sent down....and if you check current setup of TML, it goes grinding LWs and speedy RWs, so with Hyman ( if he wont be traded ), Johnsson, Moore and Mikheyev ( if not lost cause to expensive as i mentioned in previous posts ) hes and expendable LW comparing to Marchment and Agostino being bigger, grindier and proly cheaper....

( GAA 20th......SA 24th......SCA 27th.......PP 8th........PK 16th.... for 2018/2019 )
