Why is Kreider overrated in your opinion?

Why do you think DeBrusk and Connor are overrated? if anything I think a lot of people underrate DeBrusk, and Connor is a solid first liner

id say Letang is more under rated than over rated. When healthy hes proven to be one of the best puck moving D in the league.

I agree, but you could say the same about a lot of these guys when healthy i'm just trying to look at it face value

As someone who lives in Canada I can definetly say the media does their best to force the narrative of freddy in the best goalie conversations every single year. It's honestly kind of annoying, yes I know the D is suspect but it is still capable it's not like they've had 6 ahl defenseman since he got there. I think freddy is a really good goalie and is definitely capable but I just don't think his stats or his play suggest he should be in the top tier elite of the elite goalie debate that fans and media seem to place him in. He's still one of my favorites though.

You have to admit that 9 mill after one 40 goal season is questionable, the expectations are going to be even higher for him throughout the duration of the deal and I just don't know if he is capable of living up to them. He had his career high in goals with 40 and points with just 63 last year and tailed off drastically in the second half. I think his contract suggests that he is a 40 goal 80 point player on a consistent basis but I just don't think his play will do the same.

I think that Schwartz is a very solid second line player that is praised up as a first line one.

There are a lot of people on here who think DeBrusk is underrated you are right but i just thought that by this time he would have taken that next step, he has great analytics but I think both he and the burins figured by this point he would be at least approaching the 60 point mark and it seems like Bruins fans and media refer to him as if he already has exceeded that. I hope he gets there because I do like him as a player but as of right now I think he is overhyped for his amount of production. As for Connor, prime example of a player benefiting from playing with superior players as you can see from the way he has started this year not playing with Wheeler and Schief. Still a dangerous offensive player, but also lacks certain intangibles on the defensive side of things which is not uncommon for younger players so I won't really blame him for that.

Kreider is a really good second line player who will eventually get payed like a first liner whether it be by the rangers or not. He's always been a 20-25 goal 40-50 point guy even when healthy so I think while he's certainly a valuable player for what he does away from the puck when he broke into the lineup during the 2012 playoff run I thought for sure that he had all of the makings of a consistent 30 goal 60 point guy which is something that he has not yet eclipsed and at this point in his career i'm not sold on him all of a sudden doing that on a consistent basis into his 30's.

There's a difference between overrated and overpaid. He's overpaid by about a mil. He was one of the most dynamic scorers last year. He already has 4 goal in 6 games playing with mojo and sobotka.

Debrusk was on pace to score 34 goals in his second year. Ended with 27 despite injuries and a slump. He’s just fine. And does not get that much hype.

At this point Chara would have been option, he is a statue on the ice. Pasta is great...but he can’t play defense at all.

Rask. Had a marvelous season. Yet was 29th in GSAA and 33rd in QS%. He is always near the top in GAA and SV%, but the rest of his metrics are usually pretty average. Solid goalie makes spectacular saves, struggles on the simple ones at times.

Rask was the correct choice. If any had to be made.

Overrated and overpaid go hand in hand in this league unfortunately, he is payed to produce more than he is capable of and a hot start in back to back seasons is not enough to change that
