Calgary is not overly deep on the right side, this doesn't make a ton of sense to trade their 2RD

Flames trade makes no sense for them, LA trade is fair.

They are not deep on the right wing either. Move Frolik to 3rd line and let Joseph play with Tkachuk and Backlund. + you get RD in Rutta and a pick.

Frolik plays horrendously with anyone but Backlund and Tkachuk, it doesn't make sense but it's just not something that changes and it kind of sucks, the only way Frolik gets moved from that line is to the press box, which then makes us shallow at RW. Hanifin and Hamonic have easily been the best pairing this season, it doesn't make sense

It's hard to imagine Verhaeghe or Yen ever making it to the NHL. Inasmuch as the second is almost certain to be no higher than #55, we would want a decent prospect like Tyler Raddysh, Mitchell Stephens or Alex Volkov. We'll surely get offers of a second and an A prospect for Toffoli from other teams.

Verhaeghe is already playing for the Lightning now. He led the A in points last year and earned his spot in camp(plus he would've had to clear waivers if sent back down). The other prospects all have good potential but Verhaeghe is definitely a trade piece with some upside here.

Verhaeghe will probably go down to Syracuse when Paqueette is ready .. he a tradeable piece as not a keeper in Tampa .. doesn't really bring anything that others cant .. one thing to keep in mind with Calgary .. they at cap ceiling now with only 22 players .. leaves little wiggle room .. they need to rid 2 of top 15 players pretty soon

Verhaeghe will not go down as Tampa most likely has no desire to lose him to waivers. He has trade value but after 6 games, impossible to say that he’s already not a keeper in Tampa. He also has nothing left to prove in the AHL at this point. The likely candidates to send down once Paquette is finally ready are either Rutta or Witkowski, hopefully Rutta.
