the only way they could win the cup is trading tavares and matthews and some pick maybe for draisaitl and mcdavid

Rielly is their best defenseman and the only one under contract next season the rest are UFAs. I assuming it will take a massive over payment to even get them to listen to a trade proposal.

The only way the Leafs trade Rielly is if they can't resign him, and that still may end up like a Jon Tavares-Islanders situation from 2 years ago, where they just let him walk to UFA.
