Oh good lord no! That CBJ trade is horrendous! The Ottawa trade isn't much better.

Did u take into account Demelo was playing on the top pair? No one said he was a top pair D but hes a solid 3rd pairing that could slide up to 2nd pairing if injuries happen. He rarely turns the puck over and has smart hockey IQ. Only knock is he isn't very physical

This is RAPM. It accounts for things you didn't even realise needed to be accounted for.
It literally stands for Regularised Adjusted Plus-Minus.

They'd be stupid not to take that opportunity to dump the Nash contract, even with the retention considering they are getting kapanen back. That being said I did mean it was bad for both teams when I posted that. Your reply seems to indicate you thought otherwise

In that trade, Toronto gets a top 4 D they need while Columbus doesn't improve their offense, which they desperately need

Savard is a decent 2nd pair guy. Not great, not bad. Kapanen is an absolute fire cracker and immediately injects speed and skill into their lineup. Yes he does improve their offense
They also get to dump the Nash contract, which is kind of a big deal.

Kapanen is a middle 6 RW, who is not better then Atkinson, Bjorkstrand or Anderson, he may be fast and decent defensively but all 3 of those guys push him down the lineup. Columbus is fluahed with RW depth and would have bo interest in adding more

Exactly why I said the deal was a bad one for both sides. Value wise the jackets are winning, but neither team does it because it doesn't make sense.
