Hyman for Borgen sounds really nice. Without that pick.

No I don't, but I am not particularly interested in moving Hyman. He is a key piece in his spot and is criminally underrated.

Well Borgen is an A RHD prospect, whos ready to go, especially over Ceci and Holl, and is still on an elc. Have to give to get

If he is likely to be a 2nd pair dfd (I see he has NCAA DFD of the year awards) and he is a modern DFD (and not a Schenn type of player) then I might consider it.
I can't find any detailed report on him though so for now I will keep my underrated player who is a very good fit in the role he plays.

Hes a better passing - better skating - Right handed Jake McCabe, who himself is a 2nd pair DFD

Ehh. From what I have been able to find it seems like he is likely a bottom 4 physical Dman, which I have no problem with but not for Hyman.

Ill counter with the rights to Ilya Mikheyev (depending on how much he wants on his next contract, if it is less than Hyman then you can have Hyman). He plays a very similar role to Hyman and has been very good to start.
If you take Hyman I would want a pick coming back though. Say a 2nd.

Sorry, imo, it is Hyman who is over-rated. (Ever wonder why is he not still on Matty's Line?) At $2.25m that would commit Leafs to a 20-man roster! Imo, for a team making run for Cup, that's ridiculous. Remember that Toronto Star article in Sept'10? Hyman 'team' has carefully crafted social media profile but he wouldn't make Top 6 on any other NHL team. Put him out to market and see what kind of return he gets from other NHL teams?

I have no problem moving borgen, as he is blocked, but where are we playing Hyman? And how is his salary fitting?

This is entirely a bad take. Good lord. You know he is tavares's winger right (and is very good in said role)?
And the leafs are fine roster wise, we can run 21 just fine

His salary is already there, Risto needs to move out, and he slots in where Sobotka is

Wouldn't want to trade Borgen so quickly, I think he's a complete defender and one that the Sabres would really like on the team next season. I'm starting to question whether Pilut will ever be a consistent presence in the NHL so that means we have another 3rd pair spot open when Scandella moves on. Borgen would be ideal as D with a guy like Montour

Rather package borgen in a bigger trade than trade for a more expensive complimentary player
