Yes and no. Rakell and Silfverberg are the top line with whoever is their C. It was Steel in game one when he picked up an injury might actually be Henrique now. Getz is playing a secondary role so far. 2nd PP unit occasional PK shift. He ends up with his ice time but not the horse he’s been in the past.

If I were MTL, I'd decline this. Not a bad offer, but I feel like I could get a better bargain for Tatar later.

No thanks if that’s the cost.

Thought about Sprong but I doubt MTL would want a decent goal scorer that doesn’t play D.

Well all their forwards can play D and not score, so for balance reasons maybe, but then again caufield>>>>>

Thought about Larsson but they want a puck moving left D. Mahura fits that better than Larsson. He’s more of a defensive to 2-way guy.

Well no one took Sprong from waivers, so his trade value is not that high... I don't think he'd make much of a difference.

Nobody claims anyone off of waivers the day before the season. That doesn’t affect his value. Contracts, cap, and probly having to put someone on waivers yourself makes it difficult to claim someone.

This year was more or less an exception. Last year I think there were at least 5 or 6 claims just before the season begun. Players like Jaskin, Åberg, McElhinney, Pickard, Elie and Dea were all claimed just before the season started.
