Has a die hard fan of this team My POV

Team: 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 17, 2019
Published: Oct. 17, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Offence- This o core is already great. We can’t improve it much more.
Defence- Rielly,Barrie, muzzin. (Dermott) when healthy, Marincin has been dog ****.
Goalies
Anderson- he’s played well, he’s played bad and has bounced back, he will turn it on here soon.
Hutchinson- this sorta makes me a little upset in a way. Hutchinson I had hope for this season, I thought he could handle the back up role. So far he hasn’t handled it well, now I’ll say it he played against the fire power O core of the caps tonight.
Coaching
Babcock- I understand saying you gotta win the first back to back. What I don’t understand is that why are we not playing Anderson against teams who can kick our ass any given night. The habs he should of played that game. Tonight’s game was a must play for Freddy. He’s a starter, he’s supposed to play those tough games not your backup. That’s my ted talk thoughts?

it's not all the goalie.
Toronto got pounded on. Hits in that game were 9 to 31 for washington. And from what I saw of the game it looked worse than that.
Part of that is the defense. Getting suck in under the forecheck.

But you have to have some push back on the ice. You can't go out there and simply take a beating. You end up getting steam rolled.
That's how you end up with delay of game class and Slashing penalties as they get under your skin and make you play tighter.
It's the difference between having nothing but a skill team and having a few bullies on the team like Gudas, OV, Wilson and Hathaway.
Pick your poison if it was the playoffs it would be even worse.

It looked like Babcock went for the two safe points.(again) Playing the superior Andersson at home to an inferior team at home, and then going with Hutchinson on the road against Washington.
Playing Hutch at home...still might have got the two points against the Wild then you have Andersson against the Capitals.
Hit totals mean nothing. Teams with the puck get hit more hit. Gee the Leafs were outhit in the first period when the Leafs the better team.

Looked like a pretty clear strategy by the Caps to physically wear down a team coming off of a back to back. Looks like it worked to me.
