Acquire Faceoff man

Created by: Kyle_Davidson
Team: 2019-20 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 17, 2019
Published: Oct. 17, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don’t know if trading Kampf Is a great idea considering how dominant he is centering Saad and Kubalik, but Danault can provide a similar playstyle, while winning draws.

Doubt MTL wants to trade Danault, but one of the hawks biggest issues is at the dot right now.

I agree with both of you. I doubt MTL wants to part with Danault, but this is surely something they could think of.

Somehow, they have no need for Perlini and Kampf right now. I think it should look more like :

Gustafsson + Saarela/Kurashev/Quenneville (i don't know them that much, went for the C,LW position)

vs

Danault

If this is a money issue, montreal could retain for the last two years

What do you think ?

If you want Danault I hope Gusf come with a contract extension 5x5M.. as MTL could get him for free in the off season and keeping Danault.
What about: Danault, Reilly for Gusf, Saad, Quenneville or Gusf, Nylander

Hawks are high on Saarela and Kurashev. Not sure if I see the Hawks parting with them but Stan has a knack for trading away talent so...?

Didnt know about that. What about Quenneville ? I really went for the position instead of the players. I think MTL woud look for :

Gus + LW prospect
*picks
vs

Danault
*picks

What do you htink ?

I can’t imagine Saad being traded any time soon with the way he is playing. I also don’t like adding in bits about contract extensions because, IMO, it artificially inflates the value. It’s really up to MTL to get that done.

I think of the three you chose, Quenneville has the least chance of making the roster this year and by next year our bottom 6 prospects are all coming up so I think he’s expendable but not sure what Montreal would need him for either.

Giving up too much. Kampf has been excellent and no way do the Hawks trade him. Gus isn't going anywhere until Boqvist is ready or the Hawks are out of the playoffs.

We would do well to improve our face off win percentage, We aren't trading Strome or Toews, and Kampf has struggled at the dot.

Strome is worse at the dot, look at the stats. Danault is an upgrade to Kampf no doubt but Dach is the future 3C maybe even this season. This makes no sense as such.

Dach is also terrible at the dot.

So this begs the question, what are we doing with Toews, Dach, Strome and Danault....none of these players is exactly a 4th liner.
