i dont think mtl is ready to contend for a cup to pick up such an expensive rental

This will be structured similar to the Mark Stone trade in that Hall will need to consent to an extension prior to any trade. But, I don't think the Devils will accept this particular trade. Pacioretty brought much, much more of a return. Hall will bring one of, if not the biggest returns in trade history for a pending UFA. He's a superstar.
