I don't see much of a difference between Ceci and Pulock. The two have been drafted 15th overall. Same age. Identical size. Their advanced stats are comparable, though Ceci played against tougher competition, more DZ starts and with a weaker team.

Pulock has shown more offense. Ceci has more NHL experience. Contract situations differ, but Ceci will probably re-sign at a reasonable aav.

So one of the two teams in that trade gets 20-goal scorer Johnsson and a good prospect. Don't see why the Leafs would do that.
