Description

Just some ideas I had. Not exactly sure what the value would be for butcher but he should be able to help lock down that top pair and Hudon could be a good 4th line option for NJ and Kulak is a good option on D for NJ. Pominvlle could help the 3rd or even 2nd line to keep them steady. Also McQuaid is a good D to have for subbing in when there’s injuries or just for a little roster shake up.

I know butcher isn't the greatest but still to get value/an upgrade on what they have you need to send back more than just depth/insignificant players just because they don't fit into the MTL system or line combos.

Because both their ceilings are 3rd line forward and 3rd pair defenseman, both are well into their 20's and have to a degree overachieved in Montreal. Again, younger players with potential are what a team like the devils are seeking as a team in transition rather than career depth players who while they are valuable players present no value to the devils at this stage of their rebuild.
