Jones has shown more promise than Kahun.

Larsson is significantly better than Riikola and further along in development.

Gudbranson doesn't make up for the difference between Jones and Kahun or Larsson and Riikola. The fourth doesn't make up the difference between the two pairs.

Anaheim would do Larsson for Gudbranson and Calen Addison.

Jones has not shown more than Kahun. Kahun actually played well in Chicago. Putting up better stats than Jones ever has. He's also played well on the international stage.
For what ever reason it is, he isn't a great fit for the penguins. That happens. Just ask Neal about CGY.

I think the talent level is there for this. To be honest, I don't think Jones would make the lineup for the penguins. He's not really adding "size" either. He's only 6'1.
You talk about adding size you better be looking at 6'3+ range.
He probably doesn't make the penguins lineup. Just being honest about it. ANA could keep him.
