Byron has a so-so start this season, but that's not concerning to me. He is versatile and Julien likes him.

However, this trade is tempting.

MTL might want to evaluate their RD more (Fleury and Folin) before bringing Honka and evaluate how Byron reponse to his so-so start.

In short, this could happen in a few weeks

As a habs fan, I really like this trade but it doesnt feel necessary to me. Comeau is surely a downgrade from Byron but the latter is wasted on the 4th line and as a much more important cap
hit. Honka still has some upside but i dont see him cracking up our right side, especially with Brook coming up soon. The 3rd makes it even value. Once again it is really fair but not necessary for the habs

Fair and fair. I looked at it from the Dallas perspective and not a Habs perspective. It gives Dallas more speed in their lineup which they desperately need
