Zucker Trades Buffalo Columbus New Jersey

Created by: OldNYIfan
Team: 2019-20 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 19, 2019
Published: Oct. 19, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Part of Minnesota's rebuild attempt. Just testing the waters with Buffalo, Columbus and New Jersey fans. I have a feeling that the Devils guys will tell me Ty Smith is the next Victor Hedman. Let me know if you think a Wild draft pick would even things out to your satisfaction.

Note that I'm trying to provide an eventual replacement for Jonas Brodin and add a right-handed forward.

Chiasson and Samorukov from EDM. Bonus: Samo is Russian that's been in NA for awhile to help Kaprizov adjust

Meh at this point I would rather have the cheaper and younger Thompson over Zucker.

Would you feel better if it were Rasmus Asplund or Matej Pekar? Or if instead of a forward, I included William Borgen or Casey Fitzgerald?

Buffalo does not have cap room for that move. It would have to be salary our = salary in

The assumption is that if Buffalo wanted Zucker, they would have room for him or make room for him, for example by trading Ristolainen.

The question I am posing is that treating these exchanges in isolation, are they what both teams would think is fair?

Not really, I kind of like all those players and I'm not too high on Zucker. It would be more like a Jake McCabe or Evan Rodrigues (which I get does not make sense for the wild).

I'd try for Samuelsson from Buf.

Definitely not Asplund or Pekar, both have too much value and potential imo. We have lots of RHD in the system but I'd hesitate to trade Borgen

No, actually, if I were going to pick a roster player, it would be Evan Rodrigues. Thanks!

Brandon Hickey and Evan Rodrigues would be fine by me. Hickey and Casey Fitzgerald would probably also require a draft pick -- maybe a swap of Minnesota's fourth for Buffalo's second. Or Minnesota's 2021 third.
