Byron and Puljujärvi almost have the exact same number of points this year, All Montreal fans want to do is ditch crappy Byron and his high priced contract, no thanks

Holland has little interest in moving him. Has said all along they want to sign him. That they would listen to offers, a decent draft pick plus a promising prospect or young NHL-ready player in return is the asking price. There were talks in the offseason of Klim Kostin, Julian Gauthier, and Alexander Volkov. Gauthier talks have been heating up again.

Byron does not fit the long term young asset mold they are looking for and with Puju tearing up Finnish league they are not coming down on their price.

Thank you for understanding lmao jesus I've seen people go pulju isnt worth a 7th on this site and my god it's annoying it's also the same people who think a 1st an a 3rd is enough for a player like draisaitl or marner lmao

Byron and Kulak for Russel and a 3rd round pick maybe
Russel would be a good shot blocker to replace Kulak who's not playing like he did last year.

but honestly Byron-Thompson-Suzuki have been playing more then 3rd and as much as 2nd line .
its nice having a line like that who can play the speed game without giving up the hits you'd expect a 4th line to lay out .

if i was going to move anyone i'd probably move Tatar and put Kotkanemi on top line LW with Danault so he can help him learn to be a faceoff center like Eller did for Galchenyuk(he'd jump on Wing nights Chucky was dominating in the faceoff circle until eventually he took over)

Tatar's been great dont get me wrong but i value the 1st line minutes for Kotkanemi more then 4th line minutes he's been getting at Center
its not Kotkanemi's fault the rule changes that gives a penalty for blown faceoffs has our Coach kinda irritated with Kotkanemi as he's taken 2 this year already.

Move out Tatar for a 1st

Kotkanemi-Danault-Gallagher
Lehkonen-Domi-Weal
Drouin-Poehling-Armia
Byron-Thompson-Suzuki
Cousins

Our Youth's been great in this 4 line system but i really see Kotkanemi getting frustrated out there and Claude Julien punishing him for mistakes made while learning . Poehling has not had these issues in the faceoff Circle so let him play 3rd Center until he finds his offense he can play a shut down role . Moving Kotkanemi to wing just makes as much sense as moving Suzuki there .
