you want to give only 2.5m for dermott AND demelo or just 2.5 to either of them?
because if you only want to give 2.5 to both combined thats not happening in a million years

No more than 6.5M for Barrie? He'll likely get at least 7.5M as an UFA. Leafs shouldn't really spend that much on 1 defenseman with their cap situation and all expiring contracts at the blue line

He's bad a defending... and we're not talking about a Erik Karlsson here... with all due respect, Barrie isn't an elite D

Barrie is one of the best offensive defenseman in the league. I know he's not that good defensively but it's not like he's a liability in his own zone

He might get 7 mil... but 7,5 is just too much... Weber has a 7,5 millions AAV... would you pay Barrie that?

Timashov has a great game last night and has been a pretty solid 4th liner. He still isn't far from waiver wire territory though and isn't getting over 1 mil unless he improves a lot.

Trade one of Kapanen or Hyman. I'd rather trade Hyman as I think Kapanen has more long term upside and Hyman is a UFA in a bit, but Kapanen makes more and likely returns more

Barrie doesn't sign that low and the Leafs shouldnt spend more than that

Domingue is the epitome of nothing special. Either spend 2-2.5 million for a 1b back up. Or keep it 1 mil or less
