For 7x9, jets resign laine themselves and keep drafting and developing, but when the number cracks 10 plus a blockbuster could be in play.

by the fact that there are 31 defensemen in the league better than him

That’s not a good argument for why a defenseman is not a #1D - it seems like your take is purely subjective. Couldn’t be because of the team you root for...

sorry what? there are 31 teams in the league, and thus there are 31 #1D. I think there are even fewer true #1s, and pulock is certainly not one of them. he may be the best defensemen on that garbage isles defence, but almost anywhere else he's not. Honestly aside from Detroit there isn't another team in the league where pulock would be the top defenseman. and no its not because of the team that I root for, I don't care about the isles whatsoever- wish them all the luck in the world. most somewhat knowledgeable leafs fans don't have some sort of grudge against the isles, but you guys seem to still be salty about tavares leaving. get a grip

agreed. I like Pulock and think he's a good complimentary/ #2 guy, but hes not an elite #1 D.

I'd personally prefer Wide to Wahlstrom, but if we could get Dobson (Jets fan) I'd be all for it, that kid is a stud

Garbage Isles defense? You mean the group that was the number one overall defense last season and has let up less than 3 goals in 6 out of the 8 games they played this season. They also have Noah Dobson, who will have more of a positive impact than Rasmus Sandin and Liljegren combined. Buddy, I hope your emotional intelligence isn't like this in the real world.

I think the problem here is the lack of knowledgeable leafs fans - for all the talk about islanders fans being "salty" about Tavares leaving, its brought up more often by leafs fans than islanders fans, and that's a fact. To be honest, it's good for the sport. Do you know how satisfying it was to see families fly in from Toronto to mock islanders fans only to see him get disrespected and see the leafs get blown out?

Hey buddy, I pretty sure the leafs would love to have Pullock as their #1 defensemen compared to pretty much all the garbage defensemen you have on your depth chart

I know the isles would probably have to add more to make it a equal trade but the fact remains that the Jets defense is decimated and if Buf. does not come back this would probably be the best offer the Jets can get to rebuild their defense

Let's not make this about Leafs fans and isles fans. This is between you two. There are plenty of knowledgeable Leafs fans thanks.

I will agree that O'Rielly is better than Pullock right now but if you take the high scoring maple leafs powerplay and 5on5 stats of the last two year's and compare that with the defensive structure on the islanders Pullock has the potential to be as productive as O'Rielly on the leafs
I can not agree with you on Muzzin and especially that Pullock is 5 years younger than him. Muzzin production is decreasing year by year while Pullock has not even hit his prime yet

Muzzin is a better puck mover and has better possession numbers than pulock , but that can be attributed to muzzin having more zone starts in the offensive zone than pulock. They both put up 37 pts last season, the difference is pulock defends at an elite rate, muzzin does not.

Morgan Reilly is so good offensively that he makes up for his sh*t defensive play.
