If you haven't noticed they're kinda lacking on defense

Wouldn't call Larsson a scrap.

If I were WPG I'd probably do this. At that point Russell would only have one year left.

Lowry is the move valuable guy in this move. Russell is terrible and Larsson is injured now and only 1 year left on his contract . Winnipeg having to add a draft pick plus retain salary, thats just a bad homer trade by an Oilers fan

Not trying to start an argument. But Lowry has 0 points in the first 9 games and hasn’t surpassed 30 points in his career. Larsson is a top 4 d man. Low end top 4 sure, but still top 4 which is something Winnipeg desperately needs. I’m pretty sure Larsson has more value. Plus all players in the trade are on a year contract after this year.

Larsson > Lowry in my opinion. TOP4 D-men are above mid-6 centres.

hes a Defensive shut down C. Looking at his points is like looking at Larsson points and determining his value

Yes I understand but it’s not like Lowry is a top 6 c. He’s a a mid range third liner. Compared to a low end top 4 d. I would say it’s a pretty fair swap. Plus the Jets already have, Little, Copp, and Roslovic. Edmonton would in know way be fleecing the Jets in this.
