Nice! I don't think Hall is worth more than Stone, so I'd be happy if a division rival overpaid for him.

Would you even run line 4 at all at this point? just give each line around 20 mins and they'd be fine

As much as I’d love that offense, I just don’t see the cap going up that much a year before Seattle joins. My guess, is we see one more small jump for the 20/21 season, and then possibly a larger one in 21/22, but even that is hopeful. It only went up $2 million when Vegas joined, it went up more the off-season after their first year.

2005-06: $39MM
2006-07: $44MM
2007-08: $50.3MM
2008-09: $56.7MM
2009-10: $56.8MM
2010-11: $94.3MM
2011-12: $64.3MM
2012-13: $60MM ($70.2MM pro-rated)
2013-14: $64.3MM
2014-15: $69MM
2015-16: $71.4MM
2016-17: $73MM
2017-18: $75MM
2018-19: $79.5MM
2019-20: $81.5MM

maybe they could back load the contract? have a cheap base salary for the first 2-3 years then have it be more expensive towards the tail end of the contract

Hockey is all AAV even if you gave him 1 million first year and 9 million second year, it’s still a 5 million AAV for the 2 years.

I think the key would be trying to get him around the Stone 9.5-10 AAV, especially with the lack of taxes in Nevada. Also maybe a cheaper backup G. Keep it under a million.

If you got him at 10 AAV, and saved a little on backup G, that would bring you in to 83.5 which is the same jump this year saw.

cap hit =/= aav

but especially with no income tax in nevada, I could see him taking a cheaper deal. re-sign subban/sparks for 700k and bam

its still soooo unlikely but imagine....

I don't see the cap going up that much. $84mil max. But I think Hall could be had for 11mil even. Especially if you front load and offer a NMC. Also save at least 500k by going with Subban, Dansk, or Sparks as the backup goalie. I also would try to keep Merrill, so we don't have such an inexperienced D.

Three top lines would be insane. I would only roll that 4th line in the 1st, after power plays, and in the 3rd with a lead.

tuch is a 23 year old 55-60 point power forward. can play pk, pp and evens. big body too, and blazing fast to match

and more room for growth

any trade for him would be super expensive
