Thoughts on Ristolainen

Description
Risto is amazing, and honestly I would rather not trade him and trade Miller/Montour because he is just playing better IMO. I think that Risto is going to score 35-50pts again and play 25 minutes, he also might be positive in +/- which is going to a huge jump from last year. He also has improved and Krueger likes him so I would keep him as he is constantly improving and working hard.

Risto may not be a superstar but the negativity on him from some ppl on CF this past year was unwarranted. Some on here thought he was literally one of the worst dmen in the league. So silly. He's no Hedman for sure but he is by no means a Girardi either.

EEEEASSSSSYYYYYY fella. Dan Girardi was a workhorse that any team in the league would want in his prime. That guy played hard, tough John Tortorella minutes always being a league leader in hits and blocked shots. The end of his career was a direct result of being a F**KING warrior and him trying to hold on a bit longer than he should have. Bad comparison.

Also, RIsto sucks.

Ok there Don Cherry. Whats next? Rock'm Sock'm hockey should be nominated for an Oscar? laugh

Girardi was absolutely horrendous at the end of his career which was what I was referring to.... Wasn't talking prime Girardi.

Lol yep.

Its not to say he is perfect, because he isn't. But the negativity was well over exaggerated. When hes playing good, don't get too overconfident about him, when he's playing bad, don't get to negative. The player on average is in between both extremities. Not at the ends.

Cut his minutes to below 18 minutes a game and I bet the defensive side of his game will improve.
