Idkw my fellow ranger fans are having panic attacks. Totally revamped team from just a couple of years ago. From past prime softies To Pan, Zib n Trouba. ""Future"" gems: Kakko, Shes, Chytil, KAM, Georgiev, Kravtsov. Also Lias, Howden and many more. We need kids, not picks. Gorton "quickly" put his major stamp on the NYR future, nicely and hopefully I might add. Quinn only has so many horses atm. We must tank and probably don't have a choice, By(rest of)field!! We must trade and Cannot resign Kreider, Buch, ADa n Strome.

you know i do agree quinn is doing some things that make no sense but i remember watching miracle and brooks said he wasnt looking for the best players he was looking for the right ones...could this just be its early and quinn is seeing who works well with who

Biggest thing here is Andersson should move up in the lineup. To me he has played well in the preseason and in every game so far.

Reasons for current frustration with DQ:

1. His showing of unconditional love and admiration for Howden- while Lias (who seems to have the grit and puck hunger Qunii wants) gets minimal ice time

2. Supposed to be a DEVELOPMENTAL coach- yet Chytl and Krav are relegated to Hartford (ok...this is not ALL DQ's fault)

3. His insistence in playing 3 players that by no metric or eye test belong anywhere near an NHL rink: Staal- who not only plays- but is relied upon heavily...yet the guy is DONE!!! Does anyone see anything left in him? OK- good guy, good team mate, yada, yada, yada....he's too old, slow, physically limited, games past him by...Good Bye Marc- thanks for your service.....BUT NO!!!! DQ insists on playing and relying on a guy who isn't even AHL worthy....Yet there are 2 OTHER PLAYERS in the line up also not even worthy of the AHL (maybe even ECHL): Smith- who not only is not worthy of playing....but is being played OFF POSITION!!!! And finally there is Haley- a guy plucked off the scrap heap who has so far played 1/2 their games who is really only interested in fighting....maybe he would have a place on a team with Paul Neuman 45 years ago...but the Rangers have far better options that him as 12F.

OK...the rant is over...#1 and #2 above are at least debatable (by DQ)....but #3 is a sign of shear lunacy...any defense of any or all 3 of those players- let's hear it!
