trade with Rangers

Created by: Trickster
Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2019
Published: Oct. 21, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Is this enough to Rangers?
They would have to Kreider walk of course who likely gets more money then Kapanen and Hyman combined.

If Hamonic does not want to leave West than secondary target is Vatanen but might have to settle for a cheaper backup.

Used Crouse for a contract comparison for Lemieux and Poink for DeAngelo.

Would I want Hamonic at the numbers you suggest here? Absolutely...will that happen? Not likely.

As for the trade: thinking that Kreider will get more than Hyman and Kapanen combined...well in that sense this trade works.

How replaceable is DeAngelo? Calling NYR fans....
Can they replace this guy with others?

Hard to see Hamonic getting that much smaller amount of money than for example Spurgeon got.

Spurgeon's better, but not THAT much better.

As for trades, I think the NYR trade is fair. But will DeAngelo take another discount deal? Imo it's unlikely. I think he's after a bigger payday than that. He's probably looking to something closer to that kind of contract you gave to Hamonic, with either a little more term or a little less money.

I think 3 million is acceptable on 2 year deal, more terms means more AAV which I see happening as extension on top of this deal, so perhaps this deal with a promise of extension negotiated with minimum 5 years

Rangers fan here! I love Deangelo. I would say he's replaceable but he adds great value to a team and would be great to see on an actual contender. He can be pretty pesty, he's a solid pp quarterback, and responsible in his own zone. Not that its saying much lol but he was by far our best defenseman last season. I think the rangers wont need him as much with trouba and the development of younger, offensive D prospects but think he's a great player and would fit well on the leafs actually

Do you think Adam Fox can takeover if the NYR trade DeAngelo?
