More accurate team for next year

Created by: Silkysmooth42
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2019
Published: Oct. 21, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Please leave feedback... I have compiled most of the rational things I have read and seen on here so there is nothing completely out of wack lol

ALSO: Chara is benched because I think they will rotate him and Urho/Grizz in and out of the lineup (or Clifton at RHD) ... the idea is that they aren't sitting Chara, but like Backes he might need a game off out of every 2 or 3 close games so they will probably cycle those bottom 4 to get everyone in...
They will likely not sign anyone new either. Their needs rn are 2nd line RW but Kuhlman has been working well with Krejci and Debrusk. 3rd line center can easily become Studnicka next year (or Krejci if stud overshadows him)... and Keyser will be able to step into backup goalie because Halak is gonna want upwards of 4 million based on his play

A 1-2 year bridge would make sense (for both the team and the player) if he only gets those 10 goals this year. A 7 year deal puts him at what age 30 when it ends? That limits the earning potential of his next contract. His agent should be fired if he took that 7 year deal. UFAs (or RFA on their last year) want the long term deals. RFA's want the get to the UFA (or year before) status; which is when they'll get the big money deal.

The Coyle contract is the interesting one for me. He has a history of great play for 20-30 games then he'll completely disappear for 20-30 games. He had a great Playoffs last year, so Bos should wait on signing him until if/when he goes into invisible mode this year.

Good point, but I guess thats the same for Debrusk if you really think about it. ( @Bcarlo25 ) ... He is very streaky (goes 10 good games and then 10 bad games / goals in bunches), injury prone (has like 3 concussions and 3 lower-body injuries over the past 3 years), and hasn't done much in the absence of Krejci ... so how much is he really worth!?
On the other hand, Coyle is versatile and can play C or RW, is a big body, loves Boston, and plays well and isn't injury prone at all! Im not saying ur wrong at all! but just consider

Not a word of it was correct

Haha ok, we can talk on other posts, but I don't need you bringing this negativity and close-mindedness to my posts. If you would like to have a normal human adult conversation with people (not just me), by all means. But im done with you here.

Not a word of it was correct. That’s not true I suppose. Debrusk is on pace for whatever. That said, if discussing a contract, using a sample size of 10% of the season to talk about pace is just an absolutely absurd premise.

Now with that second part being said, this is a better conversation! Of course using 10% is crazy! Saying he is on pace for 10 makes no sense! James Neal is on pace for like 70+ goals so that makes no sense!! You are entirely correct about that! But also consider his play over the past 2 years, everything I said was correct (very spotty and shaky, and injury prone with doesn't help)

Come on dude. What am I supposed to do? Ruffle his hair and say “that’s a very good point pharrow, using what debrusk is on pace for after TEN PERCENT of the season should totally drive contract negotiations for a deal that will eat up all of a players prime years!” It’s just insanity. Is Pastrnak going to be a goal per game player? Is John Carlson going to set the record for most points by a d man? They’re on pace!

No read the next post... Just be nice about it. Saying "not a word of it was correct" is instigative and quite honestly its dumb like you can't say anything else...
You then deleted that after I quoted it and changed it to the new post, and I responded to that one well! See the difference being kind can make? I gave you a good response the second time

I have no problem with that aav for debrusk, but think about it from the players perspective. He’s a goal scorer. Goal scorers get paid. Why is he going to sign a team friendly deal that takes him through 100% of his prime years. Honestly I don’t think there’s a long term deal that works for both sides. The bruins would have to overpay.

Also that was my point, their pace now means nothing, but the difference between me and you is that I made that point kindly, I didn't just saying "no you suck and you are wrong"

I deleted nothing.

I added to it. Pharrow made bad points. I told you his points were incorrect. I could have been a lot harsher. If that offends you, I am not sorry.

Dude Im so in for a bridge deal! If this was your original comment, I would have liked it and said "hell yeah,, let me change that to a bridge deal because that is a good idea!" ... Thats all, just be nice off the bat, you can still make your point but be nice. The only exception is the banana hockey guy who just makes weird posts that make no sense lol, if I had said Debrusk is 11x8 you could call me a moron and move on

Ya, no. I don’t think I said anything out of line. If “this reminds me of a line from billy Madison,” is your threshold for getting up in arms, maybe just ignore me.
