Description
I have to say this. I am liking what I saw from Fast on Sunday during the third period. He is a hard working player that definitely deserves the chance to be on that line. Plus he doesn't suck defensively and is great on the forecheck. I also support Smith still being in weirdly. He has been semi decent and not our worst forward. However, he needs to stay on the fourth line and not be brought up to the third line again. What do not like. I don't like that Andersson is still on the fourth line. This guy has done more than Strome and Howden. Maybe not points wise, but he has been doing great defensively and shows that he has great offensive instincts. He just hasn't gotten lucky with his shots on goal, they haven't gone in. Defense is the defense. They keep rotating guys around and seeing what they got. Two things I don't understand though. Why keep rotating them? Wouldn't you want your defensive pairs to build chemistry together? Another thing is why isn't Quinn holding Marc Staal accountable for his bad play but holds everyone else accountable. For example, Brady Skjei sat out a portion on the game on Sunday due to his lack of consistency. But Staal hasn't been consistent either? Does a part of the defensive problems have to do with Lindy Ruff? I believe they need to get him out of NY. He has been terrible in his run here as defensive coach. What are your thoughts about tonight? AG in net! Should be fun!

If Lias could figure out how to win faceoffs I think he would slot in between Kreider and Kakko nicely. I think each line may balance better with a player that forechecks vigorously and controls the puck for the players who are better at passing or putting it in the back of the net.
