I really doubt they called him up on emergency basis to play him on the fourth line.

Line combos don’t mean that much beyond chemistry. Ice time, matchups, situational play are more meaningful. Who you are paired with is less important than how you are used.

i wish it wasnt the case but it looks like these are the lines. cassidy said depending on game script they would move heinen to 2nd line and just not play ritchie, backes, and lindholm. that kuraly wags bjork would be 3rd line

What? You think the fourth line is going to be put out there in situations that play to bjorks strengths? Ya. It matters.

Never seen a coach make adjustments? Lol. Seen a guy listed as 2nd line get 8 mins while his line mates got 15 and he was healthy? someone get double shifted at anothers expense? Things happen.

I expect we'll see Bjork moved around depending on how he's playing, the game is going and just the flow of things. He has experience with 37/63, so you maybe see him up there for a few shifts. This could give Cassidy and Co a look at something like DeBrusk-Coyle-Pastrnak. I really think Cassidy & Co. need to keep DeBrusk w/ Coyle.

I think they want to keep Bjork on the left as he has been really productive down in providence.

I don't hate Bjork Kuraly Wagner - Move heinen up and drop Ritchie as @hanson493 said.

Let's see if Bjork can carry a line offensively. I think one of Bjork's issues has been that he is deferring too much. They want him shooting. He should get a decent opportunity on this line. They are great at possession, but not a lot of finish. Bjork should add that.

If they wanted a 4th line guy, they would have brought up someone else.

These lines aren't that bad. They should win with Toronto coming off an OT loss (and travel) last night, especially if Hutchinson is in net.

Yes, Missing Krejci hurts, but I think Spezza is Toronto's 3rd line center with Tavares out. I'll take Kuraly over Spezza any day (since 2017)

Okay. What makes you think they’ll play Bjork on the fourth line? What about his skill set to you makes you think he would mesh well with other fourth line players?

Also I don’t think this is Bjorks chance. It’s an emergency recall

all depends on what happens tonight, part of the "finally gets his chance" in the title was sarcasm as they are sticking him on the 4th line. but who knows how long he stays. all depends on how he plays tonight.

They played Spooner on 4th. He was even worse fit.

I’d put Bjork on 3rd move Backes down. Wagner to LW on 4th but.....??‍♂️

For the most part Cassidy seems to try to put guys from providence in similar roles.

@Gofnut999 @Bcarlo25 @ON3M4N @Propeller09 I thought bjork looked good last night. Ritchie scored last night of course but really didnt think he was a factor beyond that goal, had a couple big hits on the boards. refs were off their game a little bit as well seemed to let them play but called dumb stuff at the same time. Good win coyle debrusk looked good as a pair together.

Coyle has been so impressive. They better re-sign him. Bjork did look good. With Kuhlman out a month i think he will end up on 3rd line RW for awhile.

Bjork looked really good, confident. stronger on the puck. Think once Krejci is back Bjork- Coyle- Heinen could be a really solid line. Keep Ritchie up with Krejci and Debrusk. Ritchie has been decent, better than I expected. He is physical and isn't afraid to shoot.

I also get the feeling Kuhlman will be out longer. They said "re-evaluate" in 4 weeks - I feel like that was their wording for Miller last year and then he pushed it too hard and re-injured himself.

Bjork not as sound defensively as KK but could add more offense. I don’t think there will be an issue. 3rd line of Heinen/Coyle/Bjork will be just as effective. Sucks for KK though. If Ritchie and Bjork excel while he is gone he will have a tough time getting back in unless they demote Ritchie to 4th. I like his size on the Krejci line tho. Be a nice problem for the B’s to have for a change...to many options on RW. Lol.

i just want some of these rws to start really producing and be QUALITY options. I dont want the daily question anymore of would kuhlman/bjork/ritchie be better tonight. Also i like chara, but holy crap is he a liability on the ice right now. imagine if babcock was smart and would put kapanen on the ice when chara was out there?

Should have retired 2 years ago. Love the guy, he’s a warrior. Going to have to tear the jersey off his back. But somebody needs to. Even in the handshake line last year i think with Carolina one of their players made mention of it to him.
