Actually a respectable offer. I like Poehling but the problem is now that we have no LHD locked up next year.

I wouldn't trade a LD man who is very good and is improving quickly for a low ceiling center.

I like Poehling but all of our young players are forwards and losing Dunn would put us way out of balance. I also think value-wise this is a little light, Dunn is already a high-quality offensive defenseman and he adds a lot of missing elements from the rest of our D group.

What would MTL need to add to make a deal? Kulak/Mete? we don't have other NHL-ready LHDs. Also, if we add Mete or Kulak to the package, I guess blues would need to balance with a pick.

If not, what would you change to my package to get a deal done? (keeping the Poelhing-Dunn as starter)

Yeah I'd put him pretty close to untouchable since LD is not an area of strength so we'd just be looking for a similar position/player in return, and we like Dunn in his role.

What about Dunn for Gallagher?

It would take a huge overpay to take Gally out of MTL, he's the heart of our team.
