I hate to keep being the realist on this one, but that third line will probably never happen. Kampf, Saad, Kubalik is Colliton's favorite line. Dach is gonna continue to be a winger for the foreseeable future. With him being drafted as a center though, and considering how many front office jobs are on the line based on his success, I am shocked they aren't moving heaven and earth to put him there. I'm assuming it's to ease him in, but at this point you know he can't keep up with the pace of the NHL, so just throw him in the deep end if your so convinced and high on him.

Second this. The real juggling is going to happen in the top 6. Hawks need to find a way to spark the offense. DeBrincat and Toews don't have much chemistry together, and Dach shouldn't be 2C. Nylander has been good, I'd like to see him get another look somewhere up there. It's really a matter of clicking that top 6.

Murphy being out a couple of weeks won't help, and Gus really needs to work on creating more offense, he's not nearly effective as he was last year.

Absolutely! Top six may need to see strome and cat reunited. Strome just seems lost without cat. Also, you’re right about Gus. I was at this game, and I’ll be honest, his offensive game isn’t as sharp as last year. His skating is actually becoming a concern as well.

I do think we need help on the PP. I can’t believe how little they generate on the PP. That being said, I also don’t know what to with Dach. I feel like it’s a huge hit to his development if you don’t play him at center, but (ironically), we don’t seem to have room for him. The last thing anyone in this franchise, or even fan base, want to see is him become just a winger. That be a disaster after how much many fans hated him being picked in the draft, myself included.

I think this season, just to get acclimated to the speed of the league, the winger spot is perfect for him. It's either that or back to junior. In my opinion, we shouldn't be moving anyone over from their natural position for a rookie (Strome). He has plenty of time to develop into a center, it's not going to happen overnight.

It's interesting to see the top 6 struggle with such a great shut down 3rd line supporting them. You'd think guys like Toews and Cat would have more freedom to play their game on that top line. Cat hasn't been impressive at all this season, and it's slowly becoming concerning. Gus is almost at the alarming phase at this point, the PP stinks again and he looks to have slowed down. I'd like to see Dach given a chance on the top line with Toews and Cat at some point. Something will click and I can easily see this team in a playoff spot, it's just a matter of what will click.

I think we just need some players to click. My biggest gripe with Nylander right now is he reminds me of Strome in regards to his skating. Sometimes it feels like he's not moving his feet enough. The speed needs to come from the younger guys like him in order to be successful.
