That is a fair assumption, I think the Mark Stone TDL deal last year would be a good comparison for what it would take to land Hall.

Yup. But Stone came with an extension. If Hall comes with an extension, you can believe it will be in the same range/type of deal.

That's a bit of a gray area. Stone didn't sign an extension until after the trade. Vegas must have known they could get a deal done, but it wasn't exactly a sign-and-trade. More of a team willing to pay the asking price because they knew there was a fit beyond the rental - I see something similar happening with Hall.

Absolutely. If Montreal knows they Hall will sign, they will pay more!
