realistically what is Puljujarvi's value right now? And Adam Larssons as well? I believe a significantly better piece would have to be involved in a Hall trade.

To answer your question though, it is just the reverse of the 1-for-1, but has Jesse (who is probably worth a high 2nd to really low 1st), and two draft picks... it is a good trade for the devils who get their guy back and two decent picks as well as a good prospect (as a rental).... and if he resigns, it becomes another first rounder which makes it essentially two firsts and a good prospect to reverse the trade which is a good deal for both teams

I dont think Jesse is worth near a 1st right now. The Devils have PK, Severson and Vatanen so i dont see the need for Larsson without any of those guys leaving in a trade or Sami getting traded as a deadline move (very possible in a we are trading Taylor Hall scenario, probably 100%). I like Larsson, but he has had a tough last year plus here with injuries and some poor play when he wasnt hurt. I would think adding him to any deal wouldnt sweeten it a ton, but would leave Edmonton with a hole since they need all the D they can get. If the Devils trade Hall its going to be for more of a sure thing than Puljujarvi and Larsson coming off a broken leg and a bad year.

Lol I am a bruins fan so admittedly I am not as in touch with the devils and oilers rosters and trade rumors and stuff... I did read in a few places that hall was a big TDL target which make sense because of next year, and obviously the oilers need wingers more than anything rn so it was just a thought... Wish I knew more! But yeah what you said makes sense!

In saying that, I also did see a few things with vatanen being traded too so now you got a bunch of stuff in return for Hall including vatanens replacement and now you can get a few more things for vatanen as well! Idk lol
