Seems like everyone on ACGM agrees.

I agree we should switch them, and I like these lines, except I would switch Dach and Shaw. Toews and Kane work best when they have someone who will go to the dirty areas for the puck and clear space. Dach is good at clearing space, but has looked hesitant in his first few games. Shaw, on the other hand, is the perfect candidate for that job (more skilled Caggiula). This would also allow Dach to play on his natural wing. That 2nd line may be a defensive liability, but I think Dach has looked solid defensively and could negate some of that.

What about switching Strome and Shaw from the lines against Vegas?

Problem there is that Dach would have to play center, and he sucks at faceoffs. I like the idea if Shaw takes the faceoffs though.

I have to say I don’t hate these line ideas. They’re not bad, especially when we really gotta our strome and cat back together. However, Shaw and dach should definitely stay where they are on this thread. Putting dach on a line with strome and cat would be incredibly slow. Shaw gives strome and cat energy and an option at the net. Meanwhile, dach can be carried by toews and Kane. Honestly the only difference between him looking like a 2C/3C tops and a bonafide 1C is speed. He’s gotta get faster, otherwise, he’s doomed to be another strome. Strome needs faster guys around him to make a difference, and unfortunately dach is much the same unless he gets faster.

I do agree with the faceoffs thing. Dach is god awful on faceoffs. On an ironic note, faceoff ability rarely improves on prospects, so what would happen if dach (at third overall, franchise center) ends up being a career winger...........

Yes, granted, not a fan of his.
