What does everyone think of Anthony's play this year? He's been fun to watch and is putting up points (6 points in 8 games, 2 goals & 4 assists) and is seemingly developing into the top-6 forward we all want him to be. This does bring up concerns for contracts though; what's his asking price come 2021?

EDIT: Obviously him being decent at the start of the 2019-20 season isn't going to mean he gets 6 million bucks come 2021; but say he stays on this pace and becomes a 40-60 point player (which would be amazing), then what would his asking price be alongside Barzal by 2021?

I have really liked what I have seen from him thus far! As you mentioned he is putting up solid offensive numbers but he also is very good in his own end defensively

If he puts up 50+ pts , the islanders will have to do a 3 year IMO. It walks him to UFA at age 27. They can sign him to a 3 year 4.5 AAV. He will get 6 mill on a 5-6 year deal. The 3 years and lower AAV allows contracts like Ladd and eberle to expire.

He looks much better this year. I think Komarov has really helped his game. He's getting ready to take his spot back with Barzal. We're all waiting for that guy that can be 25-25-50 or 30-30-60. He's getting there. He's too good to be a career third liner.

I think we can get him on a six-year deal at $5.5M/year. That seems fair for him.

Bellows and Dal Colle have both been disappointing LW prospects so far. You have to find a way to keep Beau of he develops into a top 6 guy, even if it means sacrificing a lot of picks to unload Boychuk’s or Ladd’s contract (which we need to find a way to do anyways). Remember, Ladd’s contract becomes conditional starting next year (15 team no trade list).

Dal Colle is disappointing considering his draft place and who we could've taken, but I don't think he's been that bad. Decent points and decent defensively. Bellows is pretty disappointing so far; he might still develop but I don't have high hopes that Kieffer is going to develop into Barzal's winger like we want him too.
