A wise person once said, practice doesn't make perfect... Perfect practice makes perfect. I believe putting out the best lineup and having the best team on the ice is the best way to develop the young players. Much more so I feel than any of the extra playing time a younger player might receive without veteran leadership. If a youngster isn't receiving enough playing time over a consistent basis, that's what the AHL is for. Also putting Strome on the 4th line hurts his trade value as the trade deadline approaches. As well as one could argue Howden, Anderson, and Chytil, are not quite ready yet to be matched up against the opponents 2nd line centre. At the current time it's probably better for their development to match up against 3rd and 4th line centres.

With a young team it's good incentive for the coach to yell out, If we win tonight we're all going to Dairy Queen!

Yes... As long as Madison Square Garden keeps the name and never changes to some corporate sponsor's name. Love hearing, "Welcome to Madison Square Garden... The worlds most famous arena!" Hearing that never gets old.
