. . . and if so, is this the right package for him?

They need someone. Manson injury didn’t look good.

I would love to get Severson, is there any chance NLD trades him though?

I think a prospect a roster player and a pick would be a good balance. Mahura + Ritchie + 3rd or 4th. I don’t think they want to move sev unless it makes the team better. Especially since it’s still early in the season.

I would go that high, particularly in light of Manson's injury last night. It didn't look that serious to me -- as if he had just slammed his knee into the boards -- but apparently the initial prognosis is more serious.

It’s the contact with the fwd before the bang into the boards where the injury happens. The first time I saw the replay I thought he just gave himself a dead leg too but if you can find it watch how his knee bends at contact with the fwd. Its not good.

Oh, no. I didn't see that.

And from the sound of it, Kase's injury may be a recurrence of his concussion symptoms. This could be a season-ending disaster for the entire team. I had such high hopes.

Pretty sure Kase has a concussion. Collision without seeing the guy usually results in major whiplash and having already had concussions I wouldn’t doubt him having another unfortunately.

The season was always going to come down to goal scoring (obviously) and they haven’t gotten anything outside of Silf-Henrique-Rakell.

Given St. Louis's comeback last year, one should never count a team out, but the Blues had a solid core and did not suffer any serious injuries to significant players. In contrast, with Ondrej Kase out, no one can expect Nick Ritchie or Devin Shore or Daniel Sprong or Kiefer Sherwood or even Troy Terry (because he's primarily a play-maker) to suddenly become 20-goal scorers. I have a really bad feeling about this.
