Hall is not going to sign with the islanders, but would they even want him at that price? Wiser to move some d contracts, see what they have in Wahlstrom, and then try and add a younger, more durable top-6 forward by trade if necessary.

Also 3C has been a massive hole this year, why would lamoriello do nothing to fix it? If anything, that should be their priority next summer, even if it means they don't have money left over to sign a top-line winger
