I doubt it tbh. Broberg is an A+ prospect. I get they want winger depth but they kinda have their top 6 figured out, yeah kassian probably shouldn’t be on the first line but he brings some grit they don’t have in the top 6. I almost consider Lehkonen a non factor in this as he’s a decent bottom six guy but he really doesn’t have a big effect on the trade. So with that being said it’s basically Broberg who’s gonna be a top 4 dman in a year or two for Tatar who walks in 2 years.

Broberg is going to be a top pairing defenseman, yeah I get Tatar can play top 6 but hes going to walk after his contract is up. Why would Edmonton give up a top defensive prospect that is under team control for the next 7 years for top 6 guy who will walk in 2 years and a bottom 6 forward. Chiarelli isn’t the gm anymore, Holland isn’t an idiot. There’s 0 chance this trade goes through. Everyone on this site seems to forget that there’s more to trades than just the current year, GMs don’t just look at players based on their current value.
